I Am Related to Gabriel Singson- Prominent Filipino Banker

Gabriel Singson (1929-2016) was a prominent Filipino banker and the first Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), serving from 1993 to 1999. Born in 1929, Singson pursued a career in law and economics, earning his law degree from the University of the Philippines and furthering his studies at Harvard University. His career in banking began at the Central Bank of the Philippines, where he rose through the ranks due to his expertise and dedication. In 1993, Singson was appointed as the inaugural governor of the newly established BSP, following the passage of the New Central Bank Act. His leadership was pivotal in stabilizing the Philippine economy during a period of financial turbulence in Asia. Singson implemented reforms that strengthened the country's banking system and improved monetary policy, earning him respect both domestically and internationally. Singson's tenure laid the foundation for modernizing the Philippine financial sector, and his legacy continues to influence the country's economic policies.

Sometimes you don't need a big house to be happy. You just need a right place where your heart is at peace.

Lastly, Do you know that.....

Carlos P. Romulo was a Filipino diplomat. journalist, and one-star general who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1942 for his reporting on the fall of Southeast Asia. He later became president of the UN General Assembly in 1949, the only Filipino to ever hold that position.
